We make a great team! Research shows that parental involvement has a significant and lasting impact on children’s academic success. This blog was designed to support parents as instructional partners.  At the bottom of this blog you will find information, resources, and activities that can be used to support classroom learning at home.

Austin's Book talk

Great job Austin! Many of the students wanted to borrow Austin's book because it seemed so silly.

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a great time at our Valentine's Day party. Mrs. Jernigan read us two fun Valentine's Day stories. We had delicious cupcakes, and we exchanged Valentine's cards. Thanks for all the parent support that made this fun event possible!

Megan's Book Talk

We read this silly dog book after Megan got us interested in it. You did a great job Megan!

More Book Talks

Check out these Book Talks. These students did a great job convincing us that we should read the books they chose. Great job guys!

Our First Book Talk

Book Talks are oral presentations used to get kids excited about reading! The purpose of a Book Talk is to motivate students to read good books. The first graders in Mrs. Gladden's class will be giving Book Talks to their classmates. April was our first student to give her Book Talk, and she did an excellent job. Check it out!

Christmas Celebration

Our Christmas Celebration was a huge success! We had a great time decorating cookies, making cards, and playing games. Thank you to all of the parents who supported our celebration with your time and donations.

Fun Run

We had a blast at the 2008 TCE Fun Run. You can tell how hard we worked to raise money for TCE!
